The International 2025 Invites 8 Teams to Dota 2 Championship, Details Dates for Regional Qualifiers

The International 2025, Dota 2’s international championship that Valve puts on, had invited eight of the best Dota 2 teams to compete, while it also detailed the three Regional Qualifier dates for the rest of the teams to compete for the remaining eight spots.

The eight teams invited are among the best in the game, standing out and making their mark. These teams include the players invited as well:

  • Team Liquid: Michael “miCKe” Vu, MichaÅ‚ “Nisha” Jankowski, Jonáš “SabeRLight” Volek, Samuel “Boxi” Svahn, Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi
  • Parivision: Alan “Satanic” Galliamov, Volodymyr “No[o]ne-” Minenko, Dmitrii “DM” Dorokhin, Edgar “9Class” Naltakian, Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin
  • BB Team: Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko, Danil “gpk~” Skutin, Matvei “MieRo`” Vasiunin, Vitalie “Save-” Melnic, Vladislav “Kataomi`” Semenov
  • Team Tidebound: Guo “shiro” Xuanang, Cheng “NothingToSay” Jin Xiang, Zhang “Bach” Ruida, Lin “planet” Hao, Zhang “y`” Yiping
  • Gaimin Gladiators: Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov, Quinn “Quinn” Callahan, Marcus “Ace” Christensen, Erik “tOfu” Engel, Arman “Malady” Orazbayev

There are 16 in The International 2025, and the last eight will be determined by Open Qualifiers, followed by Regional Qualifiers. The Open Qualifiers will take place from May 31 to June 3 (June 2 to June 5 in China). Regional Qualifiers will take place on the following dates:

  • Eastern Europe and South America: June 4 to June 8
  • China and North America: June 9 to June 12
  • Southeast Asia and Western Europe: June 13 to June 17

The International 2025 begins with a five-round Swiss bracket with an elimination round that will last for three days for all sixteen teams. After that, the top eight will move on to the Aegis of Champions, leading to the Grand Finals. The dates for each are as follows:

  • Swiss bracket: September 4 to September 7
  • Aegis of Champions: September 11 to September 13
  • Grand Finals: September 14

Tickets are available for the fun, starting with the Aegis of Champions to the Grand Finals. Fans can purchase them here.

This year, The International is headed back to Germany for the finals. There are also a few format changes that fans can learn about here.
