Today, Nexon and Neople have officially launched a free public demo for The First Berserker: Khazan, available on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X | S up until the game’s launch in March. All progress that is made during this trial will also transfer over, allowing you to pick right up where you left off when you get your hands on the full game.
The First Berserker: Khazan is a hardcore action RPG that puts players in the shoes of Khazan, a great general from the Pell Los Empire. After overcoming death, the warrior is fueled by revenge and vengeance, set to kill everyone and anyone who gets in his way.
As you can see in the demo trailer and screenshots below, the game features a unique combination of realistic backgrounds and character motions with 3D cell animation that draws out the grim setting.
Combat style and tempo gradually increase and evolve as The First Berserker: Khazan continues, with boss fights and missions ramping up as Khazan acquires more powerful gear to make gameplay feel both challenging and rewarding.
The demo will also introduce a new difficulty-setting for those looking for even more of a challenge. After completing the second chapter boss fight against Yetuga, you can implement this difficulty spike, which changes gameplay drastically compared to the base settings.
Functionality-wise, Steam Deck support, two original languages (Korean and English), and two extra voice-over languages (Japanese and Chinese) are available with the free demo. These are accompanied by 11 subtitle languages that have undergone linguistic QA to improve quality.
The First Berserker: Khazan will be fully released on March 27, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Pre-orders are now available on the official website, which you can find here. Anyone who pre-orders will get the Fallen Star Amor set but must purchase before March 27, 2025, at 9:59 AM EST.
