Today, The Bus officially enters Steam early access phase 3.0, bringing plenty of new features and updates along with it.
The first significant change is the addition of multiplayer free play. Together, you and your friends can now drive and explore Berlin in co-op mode, choosing to be the best lorry drivers around or complete menaces throughout the streets.
The Bus update phase 3.0 also adds in a brand new vehicle, the Galaxis Urban bus, which can even be controlled using the Aerosoft Truck & Bus Wheel System, as seen in games like American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2.
Other small quality-of-life changes include reworking keybindings for gears, wipers, indicator, light switch and device assist to allow for the use of multiple devices. AI has also been improved, as passengers will no longer wait for money to be collected and have been given an updated spawn system.
You can check out the full list of hotfixes coming in the patch on the official Steam page. The Bus was originally released into Steam early access for PC on March 25, 2021, and is developed by TML-Studios.
Similar to Bus Simulator 21, players are in charge of the day-to-day operations surrounding the widely used mode of transportation. Features include boarding and deboarding passengers, selling tickets, weather, seasons, and route, line, and tour editor tools.
New lines, buses, and other small features have been added since release, with TML-Studios showing no signs of giving up supporting the simulator any time soon. The Bus is currently available on Steam for $34.99.
