Crazy Goat Games has revealed its upcoming sim game Tamer Town with a trailer and the official Steam page launch, showing off its city management and monster taming mechanics.
Tamer Town brings players into a “cozy-chaotic” city builder, where they’re tasked with raising creatures, dubbed Mokitons, while building their town. The city-building mechanics are what most would expect from a city builder, though combining it with Mokitons opens up the potential for the occasional disaster. Players will need to build neighborhoods, manage power allocation, and more.
Thriving cities attract better Tamers to take care of the Mokitons, who can also help work in cities. To do this, players will have to keep their Mokitons satisfied and bond with them. As players bond with them and grow their city, they’ll unlock various stories to get closer to both the inhabitants and the Mokitons.
Of course, as monster-esque creatures, players will use Mokitons for battles. An auto-battling system manifests in city tournaments, where players will compete with other cities for prestige. There are over 130 different Mokitons to collect, bond with, and battle with.
Mokitons can also be used to push the boundaries of the player’s city, discovering new boundaries and zones. Exploring also opens up the door to new resources, Mokitons, and more.
