The game will launch on October 31, 2025, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.

The game was originally released in 2011 exclusively for PS3, so the remaster will let many new players experience a story that veteran JRPG fans know well.

Enhancements to the game go beyond graphics, and they include auto-saves and early access to the Grade Shop.

The Double-Raid Linear Motion Battle System returns, letting characters team up for devastating combo attacks and support skills. Of course, it remains in real-time, as it was.

All downloadable content for the original release is also included, with plenty of costumes and more to enjoy.

You can watch the announcement trailer below, directly from the press release sent by Bandai Namco to Sumilation Daily.

This is certainly not the first remaster of the Tales series. Just in January this year, we saw the launch of Tales of Graces f Remastered, which brought back another beloved classic.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Tales series, it’s one of the most popular and beloved JRPG series coming out of Japan. It debuted all the way back in 1995 with Tales of Phantasia.

Most of the series alternates character designs by Kosuke Fujishima and the late Mutsumi Inomata. Tales of Xillia actually featured both.

The latest game of the series is Tales of Arise, which launched in 2021 after 5 years of hiatius for the series, the longest in its history. We’re pretty much overdue for the reveal of the next one.
