SubwaySim 2 places players in the shoes of a train conductor who controls trams in two of Germany’s most prominent subway systems: Hamburg and Berlin. Living the everyday life monitoring these railways consists of tasks like getting passengers on safely, avoiding delays, and managing your workload accordingly.

Just like in real life, there are also obstacles that need to be overcome, including disruptions and red signals you’ll need to work around so that your passengers won’t be late. The setting features three underground lines (Berlin U1/U3 and Hamburg U3) laid out over 41 kilometers of recreated tracks, 51 detailed stations, and three highly realistic vehicles (DT5, HK, and A3L92).

You’ll explore landmarks like the Oberbaum Bridge and Hamburg’s harbor while experiencing dynamic weather, functional depots, and interactive passengers, all of which keep the gameplay alive and engaging. Career mode also features a variety of unique situations and challenges that will test even the most experienced conductors.

You can take a look at the announcement trailer and a breakdown of what other features to expect below:

  • Three Underground Lines: Experience the Berlin U1/U3 and Hamburg U3 with highly detailed environments.
  • 51 Stations: Interactive stations with real passenger dynamics.
  • Three Playable Vehicles: Drive the iconic DT5, HK, and A3L92 with authentic soundscapes.
  • Career Mode: Manage disruptions, dynamic weather, and realistic transport issues.
  • Immersive Environments: From depots to city centers, every detail counts.

While a full price point hasn’t been stated yet, anyone who owns the first game can buy SubwaySim 2 for a discounted rate of $14.99. For more info on this and the slew of other simulators that publisher Aerosoft is responsible for, check back to Simulation Daily.
