Paradox Interactive has revealed that Shadows of the Shroud, the next expansion for Stellaris, is coming on September 22.
Shadows of the Shroud includes a remastered Psionic Ascension Path, more End of the Cycle content, and new Origins, Civics, and events. This expansion is included in the Season 09 Expansion Pass, though it will be able to be purchased separately, as well.
To breach the Shroud, players will have three steps of decisions to make, which will impact their empire and what they find in the Shroud.
After getting into the Shroud, the Shroud Panel will help players attune to different Patrons and offers bonuses as they progress. This will also impact Psionic Auras.
Additionally, the End of the Cycle has been revamped. Players who have the Utopia expansion for Stellaris will still be able to play End of the Cycle, though those with Shadow of the Shroud will have more content to expand the feature.
