The Steam Fishing Fest 2025 is live, bringing sales on almost 200 gaming titles that feature fishing in some manner.
Fishing itself is a pretty broad mechanic that games across all genres feature — just look at the fishing-centered update to Fallout 76. Whether you’re looking for something that focuses on catching and collecting different fish or a fantasy fishing adventure, there’s something for everyone in the Steam Fishing Fest.
There are, of course, several fishing simulators included in the sale. These include Ultimate Fishing Simulator (and its sequel), Call of the Wild: The Angler, and Ice Lakes, for those looking for a frozen fishing experience. If you’re interested in fishing sports, Bassmaster Fishing is another great option on major sale right now.
Some popular games through the years are included in the sale, such as the Lovecraftian fishing adventure Dredge and the RPG-slash-management-sim Dave the Diver.
Those who are looking for idle games have several good options, including Idle Waters, Desktop Fishing, Fish to Dish: Idle Sushi, and Cozy Island Idle.
If you’re someone who enjoys trying to collect them all, then games like Luna’s Fishing Garden, Isle of Jura, Aquamariner, and Chill Fishing are great options. There are also several cozy titles that feature this, such as Moonglow Bay and Cozy Fishing.
To top it all off, there are quite a few fishing titles on sale that break the rules of what you’d expect a fishing game to be. Here are some examples:
- Fishing Vacation: a horror adventure that’s created to look like you’re playing on a Game Boy (or Lame Boy as the screenshots show)
- fishTDX: a tower defense game where the enemies are waves and schools of fish
- Sea Fantasy: an RPG set in a fantasy world where players are trying to save the world through fishing
- Clawfish: an atmospheric fishing claw machine game
- Fishticuffs: a roguelike, bullet hell fishing game
Several of these titles were mentioned in the Steam Fishing Fest 2025 trailer, which fans can view below:
