The end of the year means it is time to reflect on all of the releases from 2025 and do your best to put a decent dent into your backlog. Unfortunately, Steam has decided that your backlog wasn’t big enough, as they’ve listed their most profitable games from the last year.
The list details some of the most successful games in the industry, ranging from AAA blockbusters to your favorite indies, most of which are currently on sale. You can see a list of the most notable titles, sorted into categories based on the Top 100 products released in 2025 by revenue, right down below:

The list features some pretty significant discounts on some of the biggest names in the industry, including titles from 2K and Electronic Arts. What is even more interesting is that even with its success at The Game Awards and rave reviews, Claire Obscure: Expedition 33 only managed to make the Gold list, falling outside of the top 10 most profitable games of the year for the platform.
The Steam Best of 2025 list was generated on December 15, 2025, and the update with final data will be added on January 15, 2026.
