Today, developer Creepy Jar showcased a boatload of new information for its upcoming first-person open-world base-building game, StarRupture. The first bit of news is that the sci-fi adventure will be hitting Steam early access in Fall 2025.
StarRupture places you in the shoes of a prisoner tasked with uncovering the mysteries of an ever-changing planet. In order to serve your sentence, you’ll need to working alone or with a group of up to four friends, your goal is to extract and manage resources, create your own buildings and communities, and fight off hordes of alien monsters, all while doing your best to survive the harsh elements.

- Explore a Deadly Planet – Explore this vast open world, rich in resources, places, and secrets to be found. Discover the beauty of this constantly reborn dangerous world torn apart by repeated cataclysms.
- Build to Thrive – Search, mine, and process resources to develop your complex industrial system. Unlock new technologies that will allow you and your base to survive the harsh conditions on the planet.
- Fight to Survive – The planet will surprise you at every turn. Extreme temperatures are not the only things you’ll be challenged with. Get ready to defend yourself, your team, and your base from a horde of aggressive alien creatures.
- Alone or with Friends – Experience and survive everything you encounter on this harsh planet. Do it alone or in a group of up to 4 friends. This world is waiting for you to discover.
For every mission you’re able to complete and accomplish for your corporate overlords in StarRupture, you’ll be rewarded with unique building blue prints that help you create more advanced items and constructions. As you’re given more objectives and areas to explore, you’ll find plenty of abandoned bases with rare loot and chilling lore that reveals what exactly is happening on this mysterious planet.
