Today, developer Creepy Jar revealed the Steam Early Access release price for its upcoming first-person open-world base-building game, StarRupture, which will be available at a special launch discount price of $15.99, with a regular price of $19.99 following that window.
The time zones for the launch window can be seen alongside an official announcement video below, which also showcases a bit of the flair and gameplay that fans can expect from StarRupture.
For those who may not have heard of the title, StarRupture places you in the shoes of a prisoner tasked with uncovering the mysteries of an ever-changing planet, which features a vast open world that is rich in resources, places, and secrets to be found. To serve your sentence, you’ll need to work alone or with a group of up to four friends.
Your goal is to extract and manage resources, create your own buildings and communities, and fight off hordes of alien monsters, all while doing your best to survive the harsh elements. For every mission you’re able to complete and accomplish for your corporate overlords, you’ll be rewarded with unique building blueprints that help you create more advanced items and constructions.
As you’re given more objectives and areas to explore, you’ll find plenty of abandoned bases with rare loot and chilling lore that reveals what exactly is happening on this mysterious planet.
