Stardew Valley Update 1.6.14 Brings More Stability in the Wake of 1.6.9

update 1.6.14 Stardew Valley

ConcernedApe just released update 1.6.14 for Stardew Valley, yet another patch that’s focused mainly on fixing bugs. This marks the fifth one in just over a week.

On November 4, Stardew Valley received update 1.6.9, a highly-anticipated update that also applied to consoles and mobile. This finally brought the 1.6 content to platforms that weren’t on PC. However, a slew of issues came with it, and ConcernedApe has been working nonstop on fixing them. Patches have been released rapidly for PC players.

Now, update 1.6.14 is fixing mostly smaller bugs now that critical, game-crashing bugs are a thing of the past. These include the following:

There were also a few very rare crash bugs that were fixed:

Some new interactions with spouses were also added, particularly when interacting with no dialogue.

There are also some changes for modded players and authors. Now, players using mods won’t experience crashes when there are multiple sound effects. This also means mod authors can use the same sound effect multiple times.

It’s important to note that Stardew Valley update 1.6.14 is only being released for PC right now. Updates are on the way for consoles and mobile platforms, but these take longer to get out and may come in one large batch rather than smaller updates like they have been for PC.
