Today Ukrainian studio GSC Game World released another trailer of its upcoming first-person shooter survival horror game Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.
While the game will offer great freedom for exploration and a massive sandbox to get immersed in, the story remains a very important element of the experience.
Today’s trailer shows the cutscenes that, according to the developers, have been created to enhance and deepen the story, alongside the player’s decisions.
You can watch it below, showcasing both the cutscenes themselves and how the performance capture actors provided their talent to enhance Stalker 2’s storytellig.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl releases on November 20, 2024, following a slight delay that has been recently announced. The game has been in development for a long time, which is certainly understandable considering that GSC Game World is based in a country victimized by a brutal war of invasion.
Yet, it certainly appears that it has been worth the wait. Everything that we’ve been seeing as of late, including another trailer focused on the world released yesterday, looks like a marked improvement from the demo I played last year at Gamescom.
If you’d like to see more of this highly anticipated game, recently GSC Game World also showcased an extensive deep dive video, which provided a look at plenty of the game’s locations, alongside combat gameplay and the creatures that try to survive in the Zone.
Incidentally, Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be playable at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, next week, so if you want to give a try to a demo and you’re at the event, you can swing by the Xbox booth to explore part of the Zone yourself between August 21 and August 25.
