PlayStation State of Play Announced for February 12

February 12 State of Play

Today, PlayStation announced that its next State of Play will be held tomorrow, February 12, at 2 pm PT/5 pm ET/11 pm CET.

The State of Play will be over 40 minutes long. Fans can tune in on the official YouTube and Twitch PlayStation socials, and the broadcast will be available in both English and Japanese.

The State of Plays have historically been the go-to live streams for information on upcoming PlayStation games.

This State of Play could see a game announcement, but it could also see more news on some of the already-announced PlayStation games. Several games could get release dates or release windows, such as Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Hell is Us, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Gameplay and/or new trailer for any of the above titles is also on the table. Plus, with Assassin’s Creed: Shadows coming out two days after the State of Play (February 14), a trailer could be featured in the event. The same thing applies to Monster Hunter Wilds, though the game doesn’t release until February 28.

The State of Play announcement cautioned streamers who may want to co-stream the event, saying that licensing agreements outside of PlayStation could pose a problem in terms of copyrighted music. For this reason, fans may want to watch the official channels instead of their favorite streamers reacting to it.

There’s a lot going on for PlayStation fans right now. Besides the leadership change at Sony Interactive Entertainment, there’s a Ghost of Tsushima anime coming up. There’s also the Helldivers 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn movies on the horizon.
