Players start their tech business in a garage, where they’ll build software using a layered system of reusable components. There are five different levels of complexity that work with this.

Each piece of software will be either traditional software to sell, contract work, or a SaaS (sales as a service) platform.

As players grow, they’ll be in charge of recruiting employees and overseeing their work. They’ll also have to manage their staff’s burnout levels, maintain the office morale, and dive into software bugs.

Customizing the office is also part of the fun in growing. Players can not only decorate the environment around the office but also the office furniture itself. Computers, chairs, and desks can all help employees work better with higher-quality options.

Software CEO is meant to offer a way to play for different kinds of gamers. Those who like to relax can slow down and build their tech company at their own speed, though there’s plenty of depth and optimization for more technical players.

Software CEO is being created by a solo developer, Deltacraft Games. This isn’t the first game from the solo dev — fans can check out What’s on the Menu?, a restaurant management sim that was released earlier this year.

Software CEO is set to release in 2026 on PC. For more news on simulation games, check out the upcoming Pharmacy Management Simulator and Star Trucker, which is getting a PlayStation 5 release and a new update for everyone.
