Superkami has released a first look at Sengoku Dynasty Update 1.2, including the new Archipelago area, enemies and flora players will find there, and a new fishing mechanic.

The new Archipelago expands the game’s playable area by 30%, introducing a tropical environment. Players will find all sorts of new flora, including the following:

Not only are these nice visuals, but they can help players curb their hunger while also introducing resources to build new structures with.

That’s not the only thing players will find on the Archipelago — pirates will also challenge players.

On the Archipelago, players will also have the ability to fish in the bountiful waters. To do so, players will need to build a fishing station. After that, they can either relax and fish themselves or assign a villager to work the station.

Sengoku Dynasty is a first-person city-building simulator that’s set in feudal Japan. It was released in late 2024 on PC, and it made its way to consoles (Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5) back in August. Now, the game is gearing up for Update 1.2, though a release date for it hasn’t been announced yet.

Players who haven’t purchased the game can get it now on Steam for 40% off as part of the Steam Winter Sale, which runs until January 5.
