Milestone has released an interview with its developers about what makes Milestone, its upcoming anime arcade racing game, unique, including things like special driving features and the game’s teams.
As an anime arcade racing game, Screamer brings attention to its cast of characters. These characters are separated into teams of three.
Each team has two members and one leader. The leader’s vehicle is centered around more competitive racing with a bit of fighting mechanics, while the members have entry-level cars that are more geared towards fighting.
Characters have their own skills too, which are also part of the Screamer’s story. This is wrapped up in the Echo System, which uses Sync and Entropy. When used, Sync will create boosts and shields, and Entropy will power up Strike and Overdrive, two fighting mechanics.
That’s not the only unique feature Screamer has at the ready. It’s also using a new Twin Stick control system that separates how players steer cars and drift. The left and right joysticks will control steering and drifting respectively, giving players more freedom and precision compared to other arcade racing games.
