Version 4.1 of the popular indoor cycling app Rouvy is here, and developers have added several new features.
According to the Version 4.1 update video, a new climbing widget gives players a better glimpse at what’s coming ahead when they’re cycling. This helps users pace themselves and even plan for gear changes.
Along with the climbing widget, the colors of the slopes have been made clearer. This is meant to let users see what’s on the route with a quick glance, making the ride feel smoother and creating a more immersive experience.
The main Rouvy app is also getting the same advanced search feature that already exists on the Riders Portal. This lets users sort routes by things like elevation, distance, rating, estimated time, and difficulty.
The Rouvy Route Creator was launched into open beta last month, and developers pointed out that over 250 routes have been created in that time span. Now, players can share and discover these routes by looking for community routes.
The best community routes are getting their time to shine in the results, based on user ratings.
One small, but noteworthy, change is that routes will know remember the workouts users have selected in the past. So if you have a specific workout and route that you like together, starting it will be a bit easier.
Rouvy users can check out the changes for themselves in the Version 4.1 update video below:
