It’s a big day for Roots of Pacha fans. The game launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S while simultaneously dropping version 1.2.
With the release of the Xbox version of Roots of Pacha came a crossplay feature. Every version of the game can crossplay with any other version, including the new Xbox release.
The 1.2 version of Roots of Pacha added quite a bit. A school has been added for kids to interact, develop, and even get set up for career paths. This gives the Pachan children more personality than they previously had, and there’s distinct dialogue to go along with it. The parents of the kids also have an impact on this, and new wedding venues were added to deepen Unions.
New customization options are available, as well. More skin tones and hair colors have been added, letting players create unique villagers. Players can also tame more animals to further this sense of uniqueness – nothing screams that a village is different than seeing its inhabitants playing fetch with a spider.
Additionally, more technology gives players the ability to create unknown things with new ideas, paving the path for more unforeseen growth. Examples of this can be seen on the last devlog.
Soda Den also wanted to enhance the game in other ways. A variety of quality-of-life adjustments have been made, such as taking screenshots with no UI and adjusting the amount of time it takes for resources to process. These changes not only create an experience for brand-new Xbox players but also for more advanced players.
New screenshots for the game’s new content were shared, along with a trailer for the Roots of Pacha Xbox release and version 1.2.
