Today, Coreffect Interactive just announced Roman Triumph, a brand-new colony sim balancing human prosperity and ancient mythology title, is coming to Steam Early Access on April 3, 2025.
Roman Triumph tasks players with overseeing the building and protection of an ancient Roman empire. To do this, you’ll create a community throughout numerous procedurally generated worlds, using 60 types of historically accurate Roman buildings to create the housing, religious, social, and industrial structures that make up your city.
After setting up your defense, you’ll need to fend off hordes of creatures like the vicious Hydra, menacing Minotaur, and beastly Barbarians. Prepare the civilization with ballistas, archer towers, walls, and other critical defensive fortifications, strategically placing buildings to maximize battle efficiency.
Warfare isn’t the only battle you’ll face in Roman Triumph, as managing the population and keeping the town bustling by cultivating harvest, raising animals, and trading with other cities for key resources is just as important. In downtimes, you’ll also need to pick and train more recruits from the townsfolk to replenish your ranks.
Provide safety and entertainment, and you’ll not only keep spirits high but will also unlock new weapons and greater defenses. Unlocks come after investing in research trees, which in turn help the city grow and transform into an unbreachable community.
Roman Triumph: Survival City Builder will be available on PC via Steam Early Access for $24.99 when it releases later this year. If you’re on the lookout for other city-building titles while you wait, be sure to check out Pompeii: The Legacy, All Will Fall, and House of Legacy.
