Relic Entertainment has been a mainstay in the video game industry ever since it was founded in 1997. It is best known for its Warhammer and Company of Heroes games, as well as its contribution to the Age of Empire series by developing Age of Empires IV.

The developers have been part of SEGA since 2013 when the company and the rights to the Company of Heroes series were purchased at auction for $26.6 million from THQ, which declared bankruptcy the year prior.

The tweet ended on good terms, as Relic Entertainment thanked SEGA for its support and guidance over the years, stating that they’d remain thankful to their friends and colleagues there. While they didn’t state anything specific regarding future plans or games, as none have currently been announced, they finished by writing that they hope everyone will join them in creating new experiences from here on out.
