A new international Street Fighter 6 championship, Reject Fight Night x Sajam Slam, is coming in March 2025, and it’ll be held live in Tokyo.
The tournament is a crossover between the Reject, a top Japanese esports organization, and Sajam, who won Fighting Game Streamer of the Year. The new championship is actually a bit of a mashup of two events that already exist.
Reject Fight Night and Sajam Slam are team-based events that mix training and tournaments for both new and veteran fighting game creators. Now, both tournaments are collaborating to add international flair, with Sajam Slam representing the US/Canada and Reject Fight Night representing Japan.
The last Sajam Slam was at TwitchCon San Diego in September this year. However, there were four Sajam Slams in 2024, the first year of the event. Reject Fight Night has also had four events.
The qualifiers for the Sajam Slam will take place in January 2025. US and Canadian creators can apply here. The top two teams will get an all-expenses paid trip to Japan to fight the top two teams from the country.
The Reject Fight Night x Sajam Slam International Championship will be held in person at a live event in March 2025. More details on exact dates and any events surrounding it will be released at a later date.
