Cityscape Sydney Add-On Released for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

It’ll release on June 10 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. It’ll be a free update. You actually won’t need to own Rainbow Six Siege to gain access, as the game is going to be available for free, with some limits.

All the basic modes will be available to free players alongside the ability to unlock 26 operators via progression. The only areas that are off-limit unless you get the premium version are the Ranked Mode and Siege Cup (which will also still require level 50) and immediate access to more operators.

Free players will also be able to unlock the remaining operators via currency. Current players will keep all the previously unlocked content, including operators, inventory, and progression. They will also receive veteran rewards depending on which year they joined in the game’s lifetime, one reward per year.

Rainbow Six Siege X will introduce Dual Front, a new 6v6 mode that mixes attackers and defenders on both sides, which will come with a new dedicated map named District.

A curated roster of 35 operators will be available at any given time and it’ll be possible to respawn once killed and pick a new operator.

The map features a Neutral Sector where time-limited assignments let players edge toward victory, but pursuing them may require leaving relevant positions unmanned. Interestingly, the assignments will change seasonally and will be linked to the story and lore of the game.

The mode will be updated regularly and is seen as more accessible for new players. The roster of available operators will rotate twice per season.

Existing maps will be upgraded with new lighting, shadows, and up to 4K textures. The updated maps available at launch are Clubhouse, Chalet, Border, Bank, and Kafe.

Gameplay features like destructible ingredients (including fire extinguishers, gas pipes, and metal detectors) will add more spice to the maps. Rappeling will be overhauled with the ability to run horizontally alongside walls and even jump around corners.

More changes include the audio, the onboarding experience, a new communication wheel, and an updated pick-and-ban system that lets teams ban at the same time each round to make things quicker.

A new anti-cheat system called R6 ShieldGuard will also be introduced. You can check out a series of videos below. You can also enjoy the full reveal livestream on demand.

If you’re unfamiliar with Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, it’s currently available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.

The game has been a staple of Ubisoft’s lineup for many years, and it has been one of the best performers in the company’s financials.

It’ll be part of the Esports World Cup 2025, and you can check out Ubisoft’s esports plans for the game going forward.
