Preserve is about setting up natural environments in different biomes around the world. Players use cards to create environments that are diverse and balanced, using both vertical and horizontal building methods.

Players can relax in Creative Mode, get thoughtful in Harmony Mode, or challenge themselves in Puzzle Mode. For players who want to raise the stakes, there’s a handy leaderboard for various modes. Additionally, there are weekly challenges and card trading, giving the game a live service aspect to keep it from being stale.

The full release is also introducing the Jurassic Biome. As the name suggests, the prehistoric environment includes dinosaurs and lush, wild environments that one would expect. Additionally, there will be more puzzles from the Early Access version.

A trailer introducing the new things coming with the full launch can be viewed below. It includes a beautiful overview of the Jurassic Biome, along with an inside look at some of the features discussed above:

Peter Janosik, the Studio Lead and Programmer at Bitmap Galaxy, shared his excitement about the launch:

“The Jurassic Biome opens up a prehistoric playground for players to explore. Players will experience prehistoric ecosystems like never before, creating and preserving dinosaur habitats with our signature relaxing gameplay.”

Preserve is set to release on May 15, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Players on PC can check out the Early Access version now, though it won’t include the Jurassic Biome or other launch-specific features.
