Today, Futurlabs announced that its cathartic cleaning simulator is getting a sequel, as PowerWash Simulator 2 is set to arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) at some point later this year.
PowerWash Simulator 2 is set to take everything fans loved about the original 2022 hit and improve upon them even further. This means you’ll get to experience fresh locations in a whole new campaign, improved visuals, soap-erior equipment, and splashy features.
Alongside new content, the sequel introduces split-screen for the first time ever. Now, you and a friend can transform soiled surroundings into clean, serene scenes from the comfort of your couch – solo and online modes will also be returning.
PowerWash Simulator was originally released back in Steam early access in 2021. The game’s main objective is to earn money by completing various jobs using a power washer to clean dirt off objects and buildings in the town of Muckingham.
The original title features unique storylines, ranging from events like volcanic eruptions to car disappearances that set up various objectives related to cleaning. Since its release, plenty of new free and paid DLC and collaborations have been released, including ones with Shrek, Wallace & Grommit, and Spongebob Square Pants.
While no roadmap for DLC has yet been given out for PowerWash Simulator 2, you can expect it to have a similar release structure to the original, which came out at a price point of $7.99 when they were eventually released.
