Today, The Pokémon Company released its Pokémon Presents for Pokémon Day 2025, revealing quite a few things about every area of the franchise, along with a brand-new game announcement.
The first news was that more Pokémon Concierge episodes would be coming in September 2025. Motion test footage was released, showing Shinx Corpish, and Arcanine. The first four episodes of the show will be available on the official Pokémon YouTube channel until March 9, giving fans a chance to catch up if they don’t have Netflix.
A flash through other announcements came next, starting with Pokémon Go. The Pokémon Go Tour: Unova will be available March 1 and 2, where Black Kyurem and White Kyurem will be featured in raid quests. The free event will have quests, which feature Shiny Aria Forme Meloetta and Victini.
Next, Pokémon Masters EX is getting two new Sync Pairs: Champion May and Siny Primal Kyogre; and Champion Brendon and Shiny Primal Groudon. May and Kyogre will be available from February 28 at 6 UTC to April 9 at 5:59 UTC. Bredon and Groudon will be available from March 2 at 6 UTC to April 9 at 5:59 UTC. Players that log in now can claim 3,000 gems.
Pokémon Cafe Remix is getting a new menu item, Appletun Fruitilicious Jelly Soda. Additionally, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Sprigatito, Eevee, and Pikachu are getting new sweets outfits that can be won.
Pokémon Sleep is getting additional content too, featuring a battle between Darkrai and Cresselia. It will also include Umbrean, Espeon, and Munna.
Suicune, Alolan Raichu, Alcremie are headed to Pokémon Unite this year. Suicune is coming March 1, while Alolan Raichu is coming in April. Alcremie doesn’t have a set date yet, but it’s coming in 2025. Remote Stadium is coming back, along with a brand new mode called First to 500. The map is getting reworked as well, introducing new Wild Pokémon.
Pokémon TCG Pocket has been a massive success for The Pokémon Company and its developer, DeNA. A new set, Triumphant Light, is coming on February 28. The set will feature Arceus ex, and some of the cards teased with it include Tyranitar, Carnivine, Raichu, Magnezone, Heatran, Rotom, Abomasnow, Garchomp ex, Leafeon ex, Glaceon ex, and Crobat. Additionally, Trainers Irida and Adaman from Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be in the set, too.
Arceus is the perfect addition considering the last set centered around space and time, and Arceus is like Pokémon god.
Additionally, the Pokémon TCG is getting Mega ex cards. This brand new feature creates hyper-powerful cards, and it’ll release later this year. The Mega ex cards shown off include Lucario and Gardevoir.
Players can log into Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet for new Rotom cases using the codes SB00KC0VER (Scarlet) and VB00KC0VER (Violet) to celebrate Pokémon Presents 2025 and Pokémon Day. Additionally, Mass Outbreaks of Pokémon that are red, green, and blue will be more common from February 28 to March 20. New Tera Raids are also coming:
- Mewoscarada: February 28 to March 6 UTC
- Skeledirge: March 7 to March 13 UTC
- Quaquaval: March 14 to March 20 UTC
A new battling game, Pokémon Champions, is being developed for the Nintendo Switch and iOS/Android. The game is centered around multiplayer Pokémon battles, with cross-platform and Pokémon Home features. It’s being planned by Game Freak, though development will be handled by The Pokémon Works.
It was also announced that all Pokémon games in the future will be released in Latin American Spanish, including Pokémon Champions and Pokémon Legends: Z-A. This makes 10 languages that the Pokémon games release in.
Speaking of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, a new trailer and in-depth look was revealed at Pokémon Presents 2025. This trailer brought players back to Lumiose City, showing off Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile as the starters.
One of the most unique things shown off was the fact that players will be able to run around while their Pokémon battle and their Pokémon will follow — this lets them dodge attacks. Each attack has different ranges and cast times, which gives players a 3D field like never before. Additionally, Mega Evolution will be in the game, as well.
The story takes players on the journey to undergo a high-tech urban redevelopment plan. AZ and Floette, two major players in Pokémon history, will be in the game. While no release date was given, it was announced that it’ll come in late 2025.
