The upcoming pizzeria simulator, Pizza Slice, has officially been announced, and several unique features make it a game to watch for simulation lovers who are ready for a bit more chaotic story elements.
Pizza Slice puts players in the shoes of Tonio, a young man who’s inherited the family pizzeria. Tonio’s goal is to grow the pizzeria into the best pizza spot in New York City.
However, he’s not alone. His cousin Alfonso is there to help – sort of. Alfonso isn’t exactly reliable, and his lazy manner may get in the way from time to time. Plus, Tonio’s grandfather is helping from beyond the grave. His cookbook is full of secret recipes that utilize authentic Italian flavors to create the best pizza possible.
His friends are even ready to help. Tonio’s grandfather has several “acquaintances” who happen to be mobsters. These guys will help Tonio in exchange for random jobs. These side missions yield valuable rewards.
Of course, rivals are ready to bring Tonio down. New York City has pizzerias on pretty much every corner, so there’s plenty of competition. Tonio will have to deal with sabotage plans and the dreaded health inspection.
A reveal trailer was released, and players can get a glimpse at how it plays. In true simulation fashion, players will need to do everything from buying materials to making dough and even cleaning the floors (thanks for nothing, Alfonso). However, there’s something cozy about rolling out dough among hanging herbs with a roaring, brick pizza oven beside you. Potential players can check out the trailer below:
Pizza Slice is set to be released in 2025 on PC. Those interested in the game can wishlist it already on Steam to get updates as soon as they happen.
