Today, Persona 5: The Phantom X launched its 2.1 update, which is all about its sea-themed event, Summer! Swimsuits! Sea Time! Part One. The latest patch adds a new Phantom Thief, unique themed challenges, and a handful of quality-of-life improvements.
Persona 5: The Phantom X Summer! Swimsuits! Sea Time! Part One is live now until October 8, 2025, featuring an original story set at a seaside school trip with mini-games, seasonal awards, and event items that can be exchanged for costumes, weapons, and other rewards.
For stages, players will get to experience limited-timed beach mystery and summer festival backdrops that include the new 5-Star Phantom Thief “Motoha– Tropical.” During this event, using certain characters increases reward drops that will lead to extra special prizes.
Speaking of special prizes, the shooting challenge event features pirates that offer plenty of plunder. Defeating them will grant you exclusive Rare Seashells, Meta Jewels, and support characters. Fireworks Shells also appear as an event-exclusive item that allows players to make a variety of different fireworks.
Storywise, you can also experience the Summer Memories side stories of Motoha, Riko, and Lufel, all the way up until October 22. When finished, players finish a friend’s story, they can invite that friend to the Fireworks Festival in Persona 5: The Phantom X Summer! Swimsuits! Sea Time! Part One.
Lastly, Motoha will appear in a summer outfit as the 5-star Tropical Motoha in the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts. A powerful attacker of the Bless attribute, Motoha grows stronger the more she recovers HP, dealing heavy damage to all foes and activating the Summer Hype state, granting powerful additional effects to each of her skills until the end of the next turn.
