The locations for Perfect Worlds Shanghai Major 2024 for Counter-Strike 2 were announced, and there are two locations that will be open to fans later this year.
Shanghai Major 2024 takes place from November 30 to December 15. There are multiple stages to the competition, including Major Opening, Major Elimination, and Major Playoffs.
Major Opening and Major Elimination will take place at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from November 30 to December 8. After a short break, the Major Playoffs will be at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center from December 12 to December 15.
Unfortunately, fans won’t be able to view the RMRs leading up to Shanghai Major. These regional tournaments around the world will be held entirely offline with no spectators. The top teams will compete in the Shanghai Major later in the year. These regions are Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific.
The RMRs will take place from November 11 to November 24. A combined 16 teams from the regions will head to Major Opening. Plus, 8 European teams will head to Major Elimination. The 24 teams will be competing for a $1.25 million prize pool.
Fans will be able to purchase tickets later this year. This is the first major in Shanghai, and it’s the second one of this year. The previous Valve-supported Major tournament was PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.
