We already know that Palworld and Terraria are going to have a full collaboration next year, but the developers at Pocketpair are providing an appetizer in the winter update, Meowmere.

The iconic sword from Re-Logic’s beloved sandbox game will soon make its appearance in Palworld, and if you’re wondering, it isn’t just a melee weapon.

It shoots cat heads with a rainbow tail to hot enemies at range exactly like the original does.

You can check it out below and have a giggle.

At the moment, we don’t know exactly what the full collaboration coming in 2025 will entail, but looking at Meowmere, it appears that it isn’t something half-baked just to draw attention.

The next big update, named “Feybreak” will release tomorrow, so the wait to wield Meowmere in a 3D environment won’t be long. It’ll include a lot of content including a massive island.

It appears that Pocketpair is continuing with business as usual despite the lawsuit from Nintendo, which is attempting to obtain an injunction against Palworld, whatever that injunction may be.

The game is currently available for PC, Xbox, and PS5, on top of Game Pass. Despite the fact that it certainly doesn’t lack content, it’s still in early access, which means that its developers plan to continue releasing a lot of content over the upcoming months, whether Nintendo likes it or not.

If you’re unfamiliar with Terraria, it’s a super-popular sandbox action-adventure game rendered in charming pixel art and released in 2011. It’s available on basically every platform with a chip including PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, PS Vita, Nintendo Switch, 3DS, iOS, and Android.
