Old School Rally has finally released a look at the highly-requested Steam Workshop feature coming to the sim.
The Steam Workshop feature will let players create and share custom designs for every car in the game. This will be a global community for Old School Rally players to explore. Creative players will have a fun outlet and way to share their designs, creating a more involved community for the sim.
Old School Rally has already shared how it’ll work. Luckily, it seems fairly simple:
- Using the built-in system, export a livery temple in the game
- Edit the template to customize it
- Upload the customized template to the workshop
After uploading it, players can find the new designs on the Steam Workshop page. From there, players just choose the design they want to use.
There will be a ton of already-created designs for players to choose from. Plus, a mod browser will be built into the sim that lets players browse and choose new liveries without going anywhere else.
For now, this is all that the Steam Workshop will have. However, there’s a chance that Frozen Lake Games may add more in the future.
There’s no release date for the Steam Workshop feature, but Old School Rally did say that it was coming “very soon.”
Old School Rally was released into early access a few months ago. Players loved it, and it holds an Overwhelmingly Positive review status on Steam.
