No Man’s Sky Breach Update Brings New Expedition, Ship Modules, and More

Hello Games has revealed (and released) a new No Man’s Sky update, Breach, embracing the Halloween spirit with a new dark expedition centered around an abandoned universe and bringing new corvette modules, exclusive rewards, and more.

The Breach expedition takes players to an abandoned universe. There, they’ll find wrecked corvettes that they can scavenge for modules to build their own corvettes. Players will be able to find a new vertical part that unlocks more build configurations for those who want to funnel their creative energy.

Players can also find Fireship Arcadia, which will fuel the story as players get further into Breach. Breach’s story is a bit darker than most of the stories in No Man’s Sky, though it finally takes players to the purple-star solar systems.

These solar systems were first teased nearly a year ago in the Worlds 2 update, and they feature deep oceans, extraterrestrial creatures, and gas giants.

The Breach expedition itself starts today with the new No Man’s Sky update, and it’ll last for roughly three weeks. There are three decorative posters as rewards.

In general, the wreckage of corvettes in deep space will be available for players to salvage. By traversing in zero gravity, players can get materials for their own corvettes.

These include several new corvette modules, including connectors, landing gear, shields, and weapons. There are also wedge-shaped modules that the community asked for to open up even more creative possibilities.

Players can check out more details about some of the new pieces coming here on the official No Man’s Sky website.

The No Man’s Sky Breach update also adds a variety of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements. When it comes to corvette customization, snapping and collision have both been improved. Additionally, there’s now an option to apply a color palette to the entire corvette at one time.

The Breach update for No Man’s Sky is available now. Players can check out the trailer for the update below:
