News Tower Pushes Its 1.0 Release to Mid-November

Today, Sparrow Night and Twin Sails Interactive announced an updated debut date for the 1.0 version of their highly anticipated 1930s newsroom tycoon game, News Tower. Originally set to release on November 4, the full release will now come around two weeks later on November 18, 2025, on Steam.

News Tower puts players in charge of a chaotic 1930s New York newsroom on a quest to build a media empire, as you’ll start with a blank slate and build everything from the ground up. You’ll tackle all sorts of challenges, including editorial dilemmas, newsroom breakdowns, and political pressure based on topics from the Great Depression to the brink of World War II.

Like any newsroom, you’ll also need to be backed by a competent staff of 30+ unique job roles, ranging from photographers to reporters, each with their own traits, needs, and expertise. Each week begins with the simple goal of getting the edition ready for Sunday’s deadline, tasking you with assigning leads to your reporters, selecting your editorial approach, influencing public perception through your chosen tone and tags, and composing your newspaper.

News Tower 1.0 will expand all of this considerably, expanding both strategic depth and replayability with some of the features listed below:

A Behind the Music video was also released, which showcases some of the jazzy tunes of the soundtrack, which draws inspiration from icons like Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

As a result of the upcoming full release, News Tower’s price will adjust from $19.99 to $24.99 on Steam to reflect the game’s upcoming 1.0 content expansion.
