Utawarerumono Shiro e no Michishirube

Aquaplus revealed new details and visuals of the new Utawarerumono game Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube, including the platforms.

We learn that the game (the title translates into “Signpost to White”) is coming for PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Incidentally, during the same livestreamed event from Japan, Aquaplus also revealed that the previous game of the series, Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten, will also be released for Nintendo Switch 2. It’s already available for PC, PS5, and PS4.

We don’t just get the platform information, but we also get to take a look at the cover art, character art, and gameplay screenshots, which you can check out in the gallery below.

The developer has also provided the first look for the general public to the opening cutscene and animation, including the opening theme song “Tsuki no Fune Miagete” (Look up to the Moon Boat) performed by Suara.

It was previously only showcased behind closed doors for the attendees of the 30th Anniversary Festival in Japan two years ago, where the game was officially announced.

You can see it within the recording of the livestream below. We already set it to the right timestamp.

While we now know the platforms, Utawarerumono: Shiro e no Michishirube doesn’t have a specific release date just yet. It was originally announced for 2025, but a couple of months ago, it was delayed to 2026.

The original concept and scenario writing is done by Munemitsu Suga, who has been working on the series since the beginning. The character design is by mi, with original character design by Tatsuki Amaduyu and Misato Mitsumi, while the music is directed by Naoya Shimokawa.
