Navigraph released its traditional Flight Sim Community Survey designed to quiz flight simulation enthusiasts on their preferences, habits, and intentions.
As usual, the survey includes a ton of detailed questions on the flight simulators and add-ons you use, hardware, what you’re looking forward to, and your feelings about several aspects of the hobby.
You can find the survey here and take a few minutes responding to its questions in order to provide the community and developers with relevant data on where the industry is going.
Indeed, more than a few developers use the results of this survey to help shape their plans, so it’s a good chance to let your voice be heard.
Speaking of which, the folks who created the survey forgot a certain website when they listed the flight simulation media you consume, but we’re not too salty about that. That being said, we’d appreciate it if you helped them realize Simulation Daily exists via the “other” field, for the next time.
If you’re interested, you can read the results from last year’s survey. It’ll certainly be interesting to compare them with this year’s when they are published in a month or so.
I’m sure one data point that many developers will look at with interest is the rate of transition between Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and MSFS 2024.
Last year, the former led with 52% of preferences, followed by the latter with 24.9%. If I were a betting man, my money would be on a much different result for this year’s survey, but we’ll see.
