Today Orbx announced a new airport coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator, for general aviation and VFR enthusiasts, Diamond Point Airstrip.
Diamond Point Airstrip (2WA1) is developed by indie developer Andreas Hegi and it serves a fly-in community in the scenic Miller Peninsula in the Washington State, offering just another base to explore the Pacific Northwest of the United States.
The residences and adjoining hangars have been reproduced in detail based on real-world photographic sources, and the narrow runway offers challenging landings.
As a bonus, the package actually includes a second airfield, Olympic Field (WA45), which is located nearby.
Below you can check out the features offered by the package.
- A Prepar3D & FSX classic Reborn for MSFS
- A successful continuation of the series of VFR airfields in the Pacific Northwest
- Complete dynamic & emissive night lightning
- Full PBR UHD texturing
- Incredibly detailed high-definition rendition
- Photorealistic HD textures created from actual on-site photos to make the experience as realistic as possible
- Perfect landing challenges for the VFR fliers
- It also features the WA45 Olympic Field nearby
We also have a gallery of screenshots for your perusal.
At the moment, no release window for the airport has been shared, but it should come soon.
