Today third-party developer iFly released two new videos showcasing its upcoming Boeing 737 MAX8 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The first video showcases a look at the operation of the flaps through the cabin windows on a rainy day.

Interestingly, the aircraft comes with options for both the ABEX and Vickers hydraulics, which you can set through the EFB tablet and apparently set at any time.

The second video shows off the detailed exterior lighting during a rainy night. It certainly looks good and as intense as you might expect, with the landing lights cutting nicely through the fog and illuminating the runway ahead.

iFly has been working on its 737 MAX for quite some time and has shown many details on top of what we see today.

These include the flight deck and cabin, more screenshots of the flight deck, and the cabin lights.

At the moment, the aircraft doesn’t have a firm release date, but it certainly seems to be in an advanced stage of development.

It’s worth mentioning that it’s a completely separate project from the MAX in development at PMGD, also for Microsoft Flight Simulator. We know that’s coming, but we have not seen a single screenshot of it just yet.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC and Xbox Series X|S.

If you’d like to get into flight simulation but you’d like some initial guidance, you can read our introductory guide, alongside the second episode focusing on installing add-ons, and another showcasing the basic instruments.
