The developer has been working on this aircraft for a long time, and today we get to see the model of both the exterior and the cockpit, which look masterfully detailed.

During a previous livestream, Creative Director Colin Pearson mentioned that this aircraft would definitely be for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and probably not for the existing 2020 version.

Asked to confirm that today on Discord, the answer was a bit less specific.

“We’re not sure at this time what works with which platform. There is still so much we don’t know about MSFS 2024 but we will keep you updated as we go.”

We’ll have to wait and see, but speaking of seeing, you can watch the video below. We know that the developers hope to release the aircraft by Christmas, which would be after the launch of the new simulator.

Blackbird Simulations is currently working on plenty of aircraft, including a C-130 Hercules, a Bell UH-1 Iroquois, a de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter and the DHC-3-T Turbo Otter, a Boeing 737-200, a Mitsubishi A6M-5 Zero, and more.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will be released on November 19 for the same platforms.
