Today the developers of BeyondATC released a new video showcasing the upcoming traffic injection feature of their ATC add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The video showcases the AI traffic injected by BeyondATC at several popular airports, showcasing how they will start up, taxi, take off, and land fairly realistically as they would in the real world.
If you’re unfamiliar with BeyondATC, it’s a program designed to run alongside Microsoft Flight Simulator (only on PC, of course, as this isn’t possible on Xbox). Its primary function is to replace the fairly simple ATC communications of the sim with much more detailed and realistic radio chatter.
That being said, it will soon receive a traffic injection feature, which is what you see in the video.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see how it’ll compare with current traffic injection programs. Microsoft Flight Simulator has relevant freeware ones like FSLTL or AIG, and payware like FS Traffic by Just Flight.
It’s worth mentioning that BeyondATC will not come with its own models and liveries, and will use what you have already installed, likely from one of the sources just mentioned.
Traffic is a pretty hot topic within the flight simulation community as good traffic injection can massively improve immersion and add another level of complexity (and fun) to your operations, especially at airports.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC and Xbox Series X|S, but as said above, BeyondATC is available exclusively for PC.
