Microsoft Flight Simulator Airbus A330 by Aerosoft Gets First Update Since Controversial Release

Aerosoft A330 Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator

Today Aerosoft released the first update for its Airbus A330 since the release of the aircraft a few weeks ago, addressing a variety of bugs affecting it.

The update, announced on the developer’s Discord server, comes with the mention that the company is aware of the feedback and the apology for not meeting expectations.

The main priority is now to fix bugs reported by the users to get the aircraft working to a point that it fits the description on its product page, and then moving on to work on the additional engines and the neo version.

The developer is also “looking for a solution for the engine variants to satisfy the community,” albeit no details on that were given and more information has been promised for a later time.

The update, available to download via the Aerosoft One client and numbered 1.0.1, includes the following.

If you’re unfamiliar with the situation, the aircraft was released a few years after over three years in development and multiple delays, with the first rough models showcased by Aerosoft all the way back in 2021.

Unfortunately, the version available at launch caused dissatisfaction among many users due to widespread issues and bugs, on top of perceived insufficient quality.

Aerosoft appears to be intent on trying to fix the situation, and we’ll see whether they’ll manage to steer the ship on the current course. Today’s update appears to be a good step in the right direction.
