Today, Microsoft announced that Stranger Things crossover content is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
The content will debut in the simulator on December 9, 2025. The timing is certainly not random, as we’re in the middle of the airing of Season 5 of the popular show on Netflix.
The release date also comes just one day after the release of the PS5 version.
The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer on social media, and you can check it out below.
Interestingly, we get the tease of a Hawkins Heli Tour, so we may get to explore the location of the series in a helicopter.
Perhaps even more interesting is the fact that the trailer showcased a legendary Bell UH-1 Iroquois (commonly known as Huey). The helicopter is not included in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 at the moment, so it might be included in the crossover.
While this is just my personal speculation for the moment, it would certainly be a nice Christmas gift.
One thing is for sure: Microsoft teased that one more surprise would come in December, and this is it.
This is certainly not the first movie crossover we get. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 received content from Top Gun: Maverick and Dune. Even third-party developers jumped in with Jurassic World: Archipelago by Orbx.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is currently available for PC and Xbox Series X|S. It’ll be released for PS5 on December 8, 2025, although early access is ongoing for those who pre-ordered the special editions.
