Today developer Cows announced a brand-new plane coming first for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020, and then for X-Plane 12, the Diamond DA40-XLS.
According to the developer, the aircraft will be sold on Orbx Direct, where Cows already has the excellent Diamond DA42 in both DA42-VI and DA42-TDI variants for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The aircraft is releasing “real soon” in early 2025 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020. It will then come for X-Plane 12 at a later time (how much later was not announced).
COWS (which stands for Creator of Worlds) promises that the DA40 is “meticulously designed to be the premier single-engine trainer aircraft for students to master essential procedures and maneuvers. Its flight model is handcrafted from hundreds of hours of expert instructor feedback, delivering an exceptionally accurate flight model. With custom-designed systems, featuring fully customizable circuit breakers, EIS, and cylinder physics simulation.”
In the meantime, we get to see a fetching trailer and a small gallery of screenshots.
