Dassault Rafale Officially Announced for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Rafale

Today, third-party developer Azurpoly officially announced a Dassault Rafale add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

The announcement made on the developer’s official Discord Server follows a tease from a couple of weeks ago.

Like Azurpoly’s previous aircraft, the Dassault Jaguar, which was released last month, this add-on is being created under an official license from Dassault itself, and the developer promises to “deliver the most accurate and detailed simulation of the Rafale ever brought to MSFS.”

We also hear that development is already “well underway” in collaboration with Jet Fighter Experience and that the plan is to release the aircraft in 2025.

The first variant planned is the Rafale C (the single-seat version for the French Air Force and Space Force), but there’s the potential for further variants to be developed in the future.

It’s being developed for MSFS 2024 only at the moment, as the developer believes it’ll be stable by when the aircraft will be released, but the possibility for a MSFS 2020 version remains open, albeit it’s not promised.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available for PC and Xbox Series X|S following its recent release in November. If you want to see the massive visual difference against Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, you can enjoy our video and screenshot comparison.

A few weeks ago, we published an extensive interview with Head of Microsoft Flight Simulator Jorg Neumann about the present situation of the sim and the plans for the future.
