First of all, Aerosoft’s Dusseldorf Airport (EDDL) in Germany, which initially was released only for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, will be ported to MSFS 2020.

The developer mentions on Discord that it has found a way to backport the scenery “without compromising on the level of detail, within the scope of what MSFS 2020 technically allows.”

All customers who purchased the scenery for MSFS 2024 will also get the MSFS 2020 version at no additional cost.

Another of Aeorosoft’s recent big airports, Frankfurt, is receiving “a major optimization update focusing exclusively on improving performance.”

This update will come with the following:

  • Optimization of 3D models and textures,
  • Revision of LOD levels,
  • Better balance between level of detail and FPS,
  • Improved memory and CPU utilization

That being said, that’s not the end of the road, as further updates will implement Terminal 3, update the ground layout reflecting the latest real-world changes, and apply additional improvements.

Speaking of new airports, the next is Stuttgart (EDDS), also in Germany, created under the direction of Aerosoft’s Star team, Jo Erlend Sund and Lukas Vezyroglou.

It’ll come initially for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, but depending on demand, a subsequent port for MSFS 2020 is possible. It’ll make use of MSFS 2024’s latest tech.

Lastly, the big one. Paris Charles the Gaulle (LFPG) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. This important French hub has always been a big gap in Microsoft’s simulator lineup, with only 2 payware versions ever announced and none really close to release at the moment. Here’s what you can expect:_

  • Full high-fidelity representation for MSFS 2024,
  • Optimized for both visuals and performance,
  • A flagship project with large scope and ambition,
  • Step-by-step development with transparent communication.
