NetEase Games has released its regular developer blog, Dev Vision Volume 13, this time giving insight into Marvel Rivals Season 6. At the same time, balance changes were revealed about Version 20260116.
The biggest news is that Deadpool is coming to the game with Season 6, bringing his iconic personality and new playstyle. Deadpool’s the first character that can be a Vanguard, Strategist, or Duelist. His abilities change a bit depending on what role he’s selected in, either dishing out damage as a Duelist, healing allies as a Strategist, or throwing unicorn stuffed animals that serve as shields for his team.
Even though he can fit into all roles, there’s still only one Deadpool allowed on each side in Quick and Competitive game modes.
Throughout a match, his abilities can be leveled up. Additionally, his Ultimate Ability also levels up faster or slower depending on how the player is using him. His Ultimate Ability grants different buffs depending on the role he’s in.
Additionally, Marvel Rivals Season 6 is coming with a new Convoy Map, Museum of Contemplation, which launches on January 29, 2026.
Other updates coming with Season 6 include a Photo Mode in Times Square, which is also getting a new area called The Clobberin’ Club. Players can actually spend Units here to broadcast their match on the big screens in Times Square.
The Hero Proficiency system is also getting a revamp with new tiers and rewards. There will also be new accessories for Deadpool, Rogue, Doctor Strange, Blade, Squirrel Girl, Iron Man, Captain America, Daredevil, Black Panther, and Storm. Factions are also getting new rewards, along with college perks.
