Today Netease released two new trailers of its upcoming third-person hero shooter Marvel Rivals.
The first is the launch trailer, albeit we are quite a few days from release still. It showcases the whole colorful cast of the game. It’s a good chance to take a bird-eye view of the unique character design given to the traditional Marvel heroes, which certainly sets the game apart.
We also get to listen to the theme sing “Rivals ‘Til the End” performed by Chrissy Costanza.
On top of that, we also learn that you’ll be able to pre-download the game on December 4 at 00:00 UTC to get ready to jump into the game the second the floodgates open.
The second trailer features Squirrel Girl, who will play the role of duelist in Marvel Rivals, armed with her sling and a bellgerant squirrel.
You can check out her moves below.
Having played an early build of the game at Tokyo Game Show, I have to say that the game is certainly promising, offering fast and fun 6v6 gameplay polished visuals, and a lot of interesting interactions between the heroes.
The banter is actually one of the most interesting aspects of the game, as the developers recorded a ton of voice lines for our heroes to talk to each other as we fight. I don’t remember hearing much repetition, which is great in this kind of game.
If you want to see more, you can enjoy the reveal of Hawkeye, and Moon Knight.
Marvel Rivals is launching on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on December 6, 2024.
