Today, Slavic Magic and Hooded Horse released the beta version of Manor Lords 0.8.110, with the patch focusing on new Development Perks. This comes just a month after the release of Update 8.0, which saw the addition of a new map, livestock, and construction mechanics.
Manor Lords 0.8.110 includes a significant farming overhaul, AI improvements, and fixes for several issues reported by players. The patch also emphasizes fixing save corruption and crashes, oxen logistics and pathfinding problems, building speed issues, crash frequency, and farming, based on recent Steam feedback.
Farming receives some of the most substantial changes in the update, including a clearer distinction between Winter and Spring crops and a redesigned field interface showing farming activities across the next 12 months. Wheat and Rye are now classified as Winter crops, while Flax, Barley and Oats are Spring crops, with farming tasks restricted to their appropriate seasons; unharvested crops in October will gradually lose their yield instead of immediately forcing a rotation, giving players additional time to salvage a field.

Manor Lords 0.8.110 also introduces Fertilizer production, allowing players to collect and compost livestock manure before applying it to Fallow Fields during Summer to increase their maximum fertility. Crop Rotation is now mandatory, while fields can rotate during Autumn based on several triggers, including completing a harvest, the start of September for fields with nothing to harvest, and November for fields where crops died without being harvested.
The Rural Foundations Development Perk category is also available in the beta, which contains six new perks unlocked at Settlement Level 3 and focuses on improving the productivity of medium-sized villages. The perks cover areas such as forestry, beekeeping, fishing, livestock, farming, and pastoral management, while also introducing the Fishmonger artisan, which produces Smoked Fish from Fish and Salt, and the Dunghill building, where assigned Dung Collectors process livestock manure into Fertilizer.
AI settlements have received a series of improvements designed to help them develop more effectively, including earlier investment in Granaries, trade and resource-specific goods, better worker placement, improved building priorities and more effective hunting operations. Manor Lords 0.8.110 even addressed numerous AI problems, including incorrect Origin Perk selection, excessive residential construction, inefficient artisan assignments, repeated Hunting Camp staffing changes, and issues with importing and exporting resources.
The beta additionally includes extensive changes to logistics, pathfinding, military balance, and general gameplay. Oxen are less strict about following roads, several transport issues have been corrected, squads can now be ordered to follow roads, and pathfinding problems that could cause Logger and Firewood Cutter workers to get stuck have been addressed.
Balance changes include reduced crop growth speed, lower Fallow Field fertility regeneration, decreased Deep Mine output, and a reduced Rich Fertility bonus; Cow and Sheep breeding chances have been increased. Warbows now deal 23% more damage, whereas Crossbows deal 16% less, alongside adjustments to vegetable garden growth, fishing spots, Small Game limits and labor speed.

Manor Lords 0.8.110 contains a broad range of save/load, production, UI, cosmetic, and optimization fixes. Fixes include issues with planted trees after loading saves, autosave time synchronization, livestock workers, plowing oxen, building assignments, environmental calculations, and field visuals and residential plot information; animal growth logic has also been optimized.
Players interested in testing the beta are advised to back up their saves and remove mods before switching versions, as modified installations may cause crashes. The beta can be accessed through Manor Lords on Steam by opening Properties, selecting the BETAS tab, entering the provided beta password, and choosing the “pre_release” branch.
Manor Lords has been a considerable success since its launch in 2024, selling a million copies just 48 hours after its early access release, with a second million just three weeks later.
The medieval city-builder eventually even crossed the 3 million-sold mark back in February 2025. The strategy title is currently available in early access for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store for $39.99.
