Skyhook Games has revealed Lawn Mowing Simulator 2, the sequel to the original game of the same name, and this time, it’s coming to Kickstarter.

As announced by Skyhook Games, it’s looking to self-publish Lawn Mowing Simulator 2. This gives the studio more revenue to develop the game and its future content, as well as a way for players to directly influence the final results. As such, Kickstarter was the perfect place for Skyhook Games to go for crowdfunding.

Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is taking players to the United States to run their lawn care business. This means brand-new yards and contracts to be taken care of, and the developers are working on concept art for the locations that includes suburban homes, municipal buildings, and commercial grounds.

There will be another Career Mode, where players can manage their business. It will also feature character customization, too.

The sequel is also reworking grass mechanics from the ground up. This will offer more variety in how grass looks before it’s cut, which Skyhook hopes will give players more satisfaction after a lawn is taken care of. There will also be flowers and weeds to really give lawns an unkempt feel.

Additionally, there will be a leaf-blowing feature. This was a highly requested feature in the original Lawn Mowing Simulator, and it will be a core part of the sequel.

With leaf blowing comes leaf blowers, a brand-new equipment type. There will also be other new equipment, such as mowers and string trimmers.

Fans can keep an eye on the game on the pre-launch Kickstarter page here. There’s also more detailed information about what the development team has already done, and monthly updates will start once the Kickstarter goes live later this year.

As of now, Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
