According to the documentation produced by the company, total revenue was 421,602 million yen (up 17.0% year-on-year), while business profit was 109,117 million yen (up 23.7% year-on-year).

Looking at the Digital Entertainment segment, which includes video games and the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, revenue was 305,187 million yen (up 22.5% year-on-year) and business profit was 98,935 million yen (up 24.7% year-on-year).

Funnily, many hold the widespread misconception that Konami makes most of its money with Pachinko and Pachislot machines, but this is indeed basically just a meme.

The Amusement business segment of Konami (which covers Pachinko, Pachislot, and similar machines) is actually the smallest for the company, with only 27,600 million yen in revenue for the fiscal year. This isn’t exactly relevant to a gaming site like hours, but I thought you’d find this informative. Squashing misconceptions is always good.

Back to gaming, the company mentioned the success of Silent Hill 2, which has sold over 2 million units, and the fact that eFootball achieved 800 million cumulative downloads across the series, and continues to perform strongly.

In terms of the outlook for the current fiscal year, which will end on March 31, 2026, Konami expects 430,000 million yen in revenue (up 2% year-on-year) and 114,000 million yen in business profit (up 4.5% year-on-year).

For the Digital Entertainment business, the company predicts 310,000 million yen in revenue (up 1.6% year-on-year) and 103,000 million yen in business profit (up +4.1% year-on-year).

It’s worth remembering that the current fiscal year will see the return of Metal Gear Solid with Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater. It’ll be interesting to see if the series still has steam after losing Hideo Kojima’s direction.

If you’d like to compare these results with historical data, you can read our report about the first nine months of the fiscal year, based on data released in January.

Other gaming companies have also already announced their financial results this quarter, including Koei Tecmo, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Nintendo, and Bandai Namco. You can expect more reports on this topic over the coming week or so.
