Bloober Team Are Working on A New Konami Game Following Silent Hill 2 Success

Today, Bloober Team announced that they have signed a new agreement for a joint project with Japanese giant Konami Digital Entertainment.

The collaboration first began in 2021, when Bloober Team was selected to help revitalize Silent Hill, one of Konami’s most iconic franchises. A year later, it was revealed that the project the horror studio would be working on was none other than a remake of Silent Hill 2.

Despite having to live up to the high bar that was the original title, which is hailed as one of the most popular horror titles of all time, the Silent Hill 2 remake was a massive success when it was released in 2024. When commenting on the partnership, Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno had nothing but praise for Konami:

“Our collaboration with KONAMI has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of SILENT HILL 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create high-quality production together.”

The quote rounded out saying that while Bloober Team can’t confirm exactly what they’re working on quite yet, they know fans will be excited about the next project in the collaboration. Alongside their work on the Silent Hill 2 remake, the developers have found considerable success in the horror franchise since being founded in 2008.

Bloober Team is best known for developing horror games such as Layers of Fear, Observer, Blair Witch, and The Medium. The joint project will be the second such collaboration between the developer and Konami.
